Puffy Mattresses vs. Emma Mattresses
Emma is an online icon, thanks to their extensive use of online marketing. While Puffy is a proudly Canadian company, Emma’s source of their technologies comes from their German-born designs geared explicitly towards temperature control and spinal alignment.

We now have Nectar, a proudly New York-raised mattress manufacturer. Once viewed as one of the fastest-growing e-businesses in the US as well as a top place to work, Nectar promises a suite of different mattresses shipped directly to your door.
Nectar uses similar foam technologies to Puffy and provides different mattresses that expand its catalog of beds available. Will this more extensive catalog be what brings Nectar above Puffy as a bed brand?

Nectar’s original 12-inch Nectar Memory Foam mattress was their first mattress. This mattress comes with five separate layers, again similar to how Puffy designed its foam mattresses. The first layer of their mattress is their Nectar Smart Layer, a gel memory foam that helps alleviate pressure with its high-density construction.
The Nectar Smart layer is supported by two additional foams: the Nectar Dynamic support Layer and their Stay Stable Support Layer. Both assist in stabilizing your body while you sleep, minimizing any motion transfer, and keeping the mattress in place on the bed base. All this is enveloped in Nectar’s quilted Cool Cover, which helps regulate temperature, and Nectar’s shift-resistant lower cover, which allows stability by acting as an outer grip to the bed frame. If you’re looking for a mattress with a medium firmness that helps your body to be enveloped in memory foam while you sleep, the Nectar Memory Foam mattress might be good for you.

Casper had to be included. Not including Casper would be like not including Coca-cola or Pepsi when making a list comparing what the best soft drink would be. Casper’s high price is a common comparison with newer brands but it remains a top choice for many shoppers looking for a mattress.

Types of Mattresses Available
Unlike Puffy’s limited options, Casper impresses with four different mattresses to choose from, 3 of them having two variants each. Casper offers seven different mattresses, with three of them having two variants each.
Casper’s first mattress is a traditional foam mattress that uses two layers of foam for its total construction. Known as the Element mattress, this is Casper’s entry-level mattress for those looking for something simple with no frills. Casper uses their proprietary Airscape perforated foam as the top layer of their mattresses to better let heat escape while you sleep. Below this is their high-density foam base that prevents sagging and supports your whole body while you rest.
The Casper Original is next on the Casper catalog. The Casper original uses three different layers of foam now, the first being the classic Airscape foam, which is then supported by their Zoned Support Memory Foam and the standard base support foam. The Zoned Support foam is unique because it is essentially an area-specific memory foam, with some parts being firmer than others depending on which component needs more support (hence the term zoned).
What’s interesting is that you can get the Casper Original as a hybrid mattress. Hybrid mattresses are more popular these days as they combine the new memory foam technology with the consistently improved and reliable design of inner coils you may be used to in older mattresses.
