When it comes to searching for the perfect mattress, the firmness and feel are just some of its most crucial aspects. How firm is the Saatva Classic on your body? How Firm Is the Saatva Classic?

Saatva Classic Saatva Classic has three varying levels of firmness: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm and Firm. The answer to this question is based on your personal experience and the specific circumstances. However, if you’d like to know about it firsthand we’ve put each one of three Saatva Classic versions to the test to see how it fares on our firmness scale, which ranges from 1 to 10.

We started the experiment off using our Plush Soft mattress, which we’ve rated as 3/10. One thing we’ve noticed right from the beginning is how it was extremely comfortable lying on the side with the pillow at its top. We felt like we were closer to getting body-hugged by this version of Saatva Classic. Saatva Classic thanks to its more supple foundation than other ones. However, this more flexible feel might not be a good fit for people who tend to rest flat, whether on their stomachs or on their back. Split King Saatva

Next up, we have the Firm variant which is a striking difference to Plus Soft in terms of material and stiffness. It was hard to feel our bodies sink into the mattress. This version surely is up to the hype! This is especially great for sleepers who lie flat on their stomachs or backs since it provides more visible support. Certain people might have problems regarding sleeping on the side. However we rate this product an 8/10.

In the case of the Luxury Firm version One of the first few things we noticed was how soft it felt on the top of the pillow. The coils that hold the mattress together are more firm, making this version of Saatva one that is mixed in design. In this case, as we lay flat on our backs and slept, we not only receive the correct amount of sinking and support, but also the sinking that we needed. Similar results could be achieved when sleeping on your stomach, but how about side sleeping? Based on different experience of each person’s, the situation can be a bit of a hit or miss. That being said we rate the Luxury Firm mattress a 6.5 out of 10 on the scale of firmness.

Testing with Varying Body Weights

In addition to the test for firmness, we’ve also experimented with how different body weights react sleeping on three versions of Saatva Classic. We’ll start with The Plush Soft mattress. Made from an unsteady coil base and a soft pillow top is no wonder that it’s been popular with light weights. People who weigh 130 to 200 pounds might appreciate the body hugging and sinking feel of this Plush Soft, but heavyweights might have an issue. Split King Saatva

The firm mattress could be too stiff for people that weigh under 175 pounds, however in the case of those way over that, this version is probably the more suitable choice. With a stronger foundation across the mattress, the Firm model offers much more solid support when it comes to sleeping on the stomach or back, specifically for those who weigh a lot. People who weigh less might find sleeping on their bed a bit uncomfortable, with no soft foam surface to ease this.

For this Luxury Firm mattress most of its attributes are sufficient to cater to a broad range in bodyweights. If you’re someone who weighs 130lbs (or 250lbs), you’ll find a sense of relief and relaxation sleeping flat on the back on this kind of mattress. Stomach sleepers may enjoy the same, however it may require extra support for those who weigh more. When it comes to side sleeping it’s usually suitable for all body weights, however it’s somewhat unpredictable.

Performance

How does the Saatva Classic fare in terms of performance? From motion transfer to durability and even how it reacts during intimate moments, we dove further deep to test its performance levels. These is the result!

Motion Isolation and Transfer

The Saatva was lackluster in motion isolation compared to other hybrid mattresses. The foam layer that makes up the mattress is only half an inch, however the mattress is still able to absorb an impressive amount of movement thanks to its state-of-the-art fiber fill. The two firmer options may not be effective in separating motions. However, the Plush Soft variant, however, fares a little better in comparison.

If you’re in a romantic relationship, and you’re looking at a mattress in which one of you is moving and the other doesn’t be able to tell then you should consider the Saatva Classic may not be the best. When we tested it out for motion transfer and we noticed that one of our team slowly became distracted when the other member began making movements – from minor to moderate and eventually high-intensity. Innerspring mattresses are known for having poor motion absorption, and the Saatva is composed of innerspring parts. It’s also a bad mattress choice particularly if you’re a light sleeper who’s often disturbed.

Pressure Relief

Pressure relief refers to the mattress’s capacity to ease out the tension experienced by the body’s tension points. We determined the Saatva’s pressure relief levels by placing an image of pressure on the surface. Upon receiving the results, it has revealed that the mattress, in three different levels of firmness offers excellent pressure relief at the back. In terms of hip and shoulder areas, this can vary depending on a variety of variables like the firmness level as well as personal circumstances and weight. Split King Saatva

Temperature Control

The Saatva Classic mattress may be many things, but we can’t say that it’s one of the best with stunning cooling abilities. The mattress is made up of two layers of spring coil. One of these is wrapped in a pocket. The structural frame permits air to circulate throughout the mattress, ultimately cooling people who typically rest hot. It’s not just able to cool down temperatures and keep them cool, but the top of the pillow’s cover is made of organic cotton, which makes it Saatva Classic more breathable than other hybrid beds made with memory foam. This is an ideal cooling mattress for anyone living in a tropical climate, or for couples who, if they are sleeping together, will heat the bed more quickly than just one person can.

Edge Support

Edge support refers to how strong edge support is the way that the mattresses’ edges hold up. For Saatva Classic, the edge support is extremely strong. Saatva Classic, the edges hold up very remarkably. In our tests, we found that they were remarkably robust enough to permit people to lie on their edges without having to worry much about sagging, sinkage and falling off of the mattress. This is caused by an encasement of foam that is placed around the coils within the mattress. The sturdiness may vary depending on the level of firmness of the Saatva. Couples for instance, will not feel too much sagging when they choose between the Firm and Luxury Firm alternatives, however they may be able to feel a little discomfort around the edges when using the Plush Soft. Also those who weigh more will experience more sinkage than lighter ones.

Sex

In the event that you or your companion are both sexually active It is essential to choose an appropriate mattress that will respond well when it comes to sharing intimate moments. That’s where Saatva Classic comes in, with a solid combination of the ability to respond and friction, making it optimized for a wide range of sexual activities. The top of the pillow conforms to the bodies in close proximity to its surface, while the innerspring foundation causes the bed to be bouncy enough to allow for movement but not loud enough for the annoying sounds of squeaking. The firm edge support allows couples to take enjoyment of the entire surface of the Saatva. Although it’s Plush Soft comfort level may provide a little traction for sex, it felt quite lacking when compared to its more rigid counterparts.

Off-gassing

The Saatva Classic is made out of synthetic foam, but the thing that sets it apart from others is how it doesn’t take up a lot of the mattress. It doesn’t smell as bad after delivery and purchase. As we were receiving the Saatva mattresses to test we noticed that instead of the standard cardboard box people from the delivery company arrived to set up the bed for us. We also inspected the way it released less of the typical “fresh mattress smell” than other similar ones, which went away quite quickly – this may be due to the way it was constructed. Easy of Movement

Saatva Saatva has been shown to have better ease of movement compared to other hybrid mattresses due to the interestingly unique polyfoam/innerspring combination used as its structural foundation. The mattress is bonded against the physique of the person once they lie down on the ground however it recovers its original shape after they have left the bed. To contrast, mattresses that have the top of memory foam are shaped to fit the body as normal, however the feeling of being ‘trapped in comfort is much more apparent which makes it difficult for the person to remove themselves.

Noise

The innerspring beds have received an unpopular image over the years for making annoying noisesthat gradually become more pronounced with continued use. Its Saatva Classic, on the contrary, doesn’t fall under this stereotype. We’ve already mentioned that the mattress’s inner structure contains an encasement of foam that’s wrapped around coil systems. This not only offers solid support along the edges, but it also muffles out the noise coils typically make. When we tried out changing positions and moving around the bed, we noticed how much less noise as well as squeaking generated. However, since the Saatva mattress rests on coils you shouldn’t expect the no-noise features to last long.

Durability

We’ve managed to conduct all performance tests on Saatva Classic, we can conclude that it is a great mattress. Saatva Classic mattress, the most important thing to think about is these questions: “How durable is the Saatva? How long will it be able be expected to endure?” Considering the high-grade quality of the materials and structure and how well it performs when it comes to comfort, relief, and movement, the Saatva will be durable enough to last about 7-10 years.

Materials

The Saatva Classic is composed of at minimum four layers, each having unique abilities. But when combined, they create an extremely durable, strong and bouncy reliable hybrid mattress which can be used to serve any purpose. Let’s look at all the elements and components that compose the Saatva bed.

Layer 2: A Blend of Foam for Lumbar Support with Enhanced

In all three levels of firmness An inch-thick support foam is placed beneath the first layer, creating a superior lumbar support system. The foam is made up of the following majority of the foam is made of polyfoam. The remainder is made of memory foam. It is strategically placed in the middle of the mattress, allowing that the spine to more align without creating any discomfort. Split King Saatva

It also facilitates breezy air circulation, keeping the sleeper cooled and away from getting too hot.

4. The Sturdy Foundation Core

Holding all three layers is the solid hourglass steel coils beneath them. Customers have the option of choosing between two sizes that are 4 inches for mattresses measuring 11.5″ or 7-inch layers for 14.5″ mattresses.
