How Firm is Saatva Classic? Saatva Classic?
The Saatva Classic has three varying degrees of firmness: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm. The answer to this question is based on the individual’s experience and personal circumstances. However, if you’d like to know about it firsthand We’ve put all three one of three Saatva Classic versions to the test to see how it fares on our firmness scale, that ranges from 1-10.
We started our test using The Plush Soft mattress, which we’ve ranked as 3/10. The one thing that we’ve observed straight off the bat is how it feels so comfy sleeping sideways facing the pillow at the top. We felt as if we were more likely to be body-hugged by this version that’s Saatva Classic. Saatva Classic thanks to its more supple foundation than other ones. However, that more malleable feel may not translate well with people who often rest flat, whether on their stomachs or their back. Saatva Tempurpedic
Next , we’ve got the Firm version, which is a stark opposite to Plus Soft in terms of materials and rigidity. It was hard to feel our bodies sink into the mattress – the version surely lives up to its name! This is particularly great for sleepers who lie flat on their stomachs or backs, as it offers much more visible support. Some users may take issues regarding sleeping on their sides. But despite this we rate this product an 8/10.
When we looked at the Premium Firm version One of the first things we noticed was how soft the mattress felt on the top of the pillow. The coils, meanwhile, that hold the mattress together are more firm, which makes this particular version of Saatva one that is mixed in design. As we lay flat on our backs and slept, we not only get the right amount of sinking as well as the support that we required. It’s the same when sleeping on your stomach, but what about side sleeping? Based on different individual experiences of the person, this could be hit-or-miss. That being said, we give our Luxury Firm mattress an 6.5 /10 on the range of firmness.
Testing using a variety of body weights
In addition to the test for firmness, we’ve also experimented with how different body weights respond when sleeping on three different versions of Saatva Classic. The first is the Plush Soft mattress. Made out of a less sturdy coil foundation and an even softer pillow top It’s not surprising that it’s been favored among lightweights. Average-weighing folks between 130 to 200 pounds may appreciate the body hugging and sinking sensation from this Plush Soft, but heavyweights might have an issue. Saatva Tempurpedic
The Firm mattress may be too stiff for people that weigh under 175 pounds, but in the case of those more than that, this mattress is likely to be the best option. With a sturdier foundation throughout the firm mattress, it provides the most stable support when sleeping on the stomach or back, especially with heavyweights. People who weigh less might find sleeping on their bed somewhat uncomfortable, as there is no soft foam surface to ease this.

For the Luxury Firm mattress most of its attributes are sufficient to cater to a broad range of body weights. If you’re either someone who weighs 130 lbs or 250 pounds, you’ll feel a sense of relief and relaxation sleeping flat on the back on this kind of mattress. Stomach sleepers may enjoy too, but it may require extra support for heavier folks. When it comes to side sleeping, it’s generally good for all body weights, however it’s a bit of a hit-or-miss.
Performance
What is the way that the Saatva Classic fare in terms of performance? From motion transfers to durability and even how it performs in private moments. We dove further deep to test the performance of the Saatva Classic. Here are the results!
Motion Isolation and Transfer
The Saatva is not the best in terms of motion isolation when as compared against other hybrid mattresses. The foam that is built into is only one-half inch, yet the mattress still manages to absorb an impressive amount of motion due to its ultra-modern fiber fill. Two of the more firm options might not be effective in separating motions. The Plush Soft variant, however is a bit better when compared to.
If you’re in a relationship and looking at a mattress in which one of you moves , and the other doesn’t even notice, you should consider the Saatva Classic may not be the most suitable. When we tested it out to see if it could transfer motion and we noticed that one of our group members gradually got distracted as soon as the other person started doing movements, ranging from minimal to moderate and eventually high-intensity. Innerspring mattresses have been notorious for their poor absorption of motion, and the Saatva is composed of innerspring parts. It could be a poor choice for a mattress for you, particularly when you’re a light sleeper who is easily disturbed.
Pressure Relief
Pressure relief refers to the mattress’s capacity to ease out the tension experienced by the body’s tension points. We evaluated the Saatva’s pressure relief levels by laying out a pressure map on its surface. After receiving the results, it’s shown that the mattress, in three different levels of firmness offers excellent pressure relief at the back. As for the hip and shoulder points the relief can differ based on a range of factors including the level of firmness the individual’s situation, as well as the weight. Saatva Tempurpedic

Temperature Control
The Saatva Classic mattress may be many things, but we’re able to deny that this is one of the top ones with incredible cooling capabilities. The mattress is made up of two layers of spring coil. One of these is wrapped in a pocket. The structural frame permits air to flow throughout the mattress, ultimately cooling people who typically are hot to sleep on. Not only is it able to cool down temperatures, but the pillow top’s cover is made from organic cotton, making Saatva Classic Saatva Classic more breathable than other hybrid beds made with memory foam. This is the ideal cooling mattress for those who live in tropical conditions and for couples that, if they sleep together, are able to heat the bed faster than a single person.
Edge Support
Edge support refers to the strength of those edges stand up to. For the Saatva Classic, the edges hold up very remarkably. After testing, we concluded that they were noticeably solid enough to allow people to rest near the edges without having to worry too much about sinkage, sagging and falling off of the bed. This is because of the foam encasement which is placed around the coils within the mattress. The durability can differ based on the firmness level and the firmness of Saatva. Couples like this may not feel too much sliding when they choose between either the Firm or Luxe Firm options but may feel a certain degree of discomfort at the edges of Plush Soft. Plush Soft. Additionally those who weigh more will feel more sinkage than the light ones.
Sex
When you are with your spouse and are both sexually active, it’s crucial to find the right mattress that responds effectively when being intimate with your partner. That’s where Saatva Classic comes in, with a solid combination of flexibility and responsiveness, which makes it designed for a variety of sexual actions. The pillow top is shaped to the body when in contact with the surface, while the innerspring foundation causes the mattress to bounce enough to allow for movements, but not too loud for the annoying sounds of squeaking. The solid edge support permits the couples to take full advantage of the whole space of Saatva. Although this Plush Soft comfort level may provide a little sexual traction, it felt quite lacking in comparison to its more robust counterparts.
Off-gassing
The Saatva Classic is made out of synthetic foam, but what sets it apart from other mattresses is the fact that it doesn’t take up a lot in the bed. It doesn’t smell as bad after delivery and purchase. As we were receiving the Saatva mattresses to test we noticed that instead of the typical cardboard box delivery, delivery personnel arrived to set up the bed for us. We also inspected how it emitted less of the typical “fresh mattress smell” as compared to other mattresses, which went away quite quickly. It could be due to the way it was constructed. Saatva Tempurpedic
Ease of Movement
The Saatva has been shown to have a greater ease of movement than other hybrid mattresses due to the intriguingly unique combination of innersprings and polyfoam that is used as its structural foundation. The mattress is bonded with the shape of the person as they lay on the floor, but regains its original shape quickly when they get off of the bed. For comparison, mattresses with the top of memory foam are shaped to fit the body as normal, however the feeling of being ‘trapped in a comfortable environment is much more apparent, making it a bit difficult for the user to remove themselves.

Noise
Innerspring beds have earned themselves a bad rep through the years for their irritating noisesthat gradually become worse upon continuous use. Its Saatva Classic, on the other hand, does not fall under this stereotype. As we mentioned before, the mattress’s core is a foam encasement that’s been placed around the coils. This not only offers solid support along the edges, but it also blocks out the sounds that coils usually make. We tried changing places and moving around the bed, we were amazed by how much less noise as well as squeaking produced. However, since the Saatva mattress rests on coils you can’t count on the quiet features to last long.
Durability
We’ve managed to test all of the tests of performance with the Saatva Classic mattress, the only thing we have to ask are some of the questions below: “How durable is the Saatva? What is the length of time it will be able to last?” Considering the high-grade quality of the material and structure and how well it performs in regards to comfort, relief and movement, the Saatva is expected to be sturdy enough to last up to around 7 to 10 years.
Materials
The Saatva Classic is composed of at least four layers, each having distinct capabilities. However, when they’re put together, they form a strong, durable as well as bouncy and reliable hybrid mattress which can be used for any use. Let’s have a closer look at the different elements and components that comprise the Saatva bed.
Layer 1 The Soft and Breathable Surface
The first layer is an inch-thick Euro pillow top, which is used for the mattress’s bed surface. It’s made up of a mix of fiberfill, polyfoam and Dacron to provide an incredibly comfortable and cushioned area for you to lay down on. In both Plush Soft and Luxury Firm models there is a 1.25-inch layer of soft polyfoam has been used for the soft option, while the Firm option uses 1.5″ worth of polyfoam that is firm.
The top is quilted with an exclusive Lumbar Zone Quilting pattern to provide much-needed pressure relief for the back and hips. Organic cotton is used to protect the pillow’s surface. It is not only soft and breathable, it also has a lot of antibacterial properties.
Layer 2: A Blend of Foam for Lumbar Support with Enhanced
In all three levels of firmness An inch-thick support foam is placed beneath the first layer to provide a better lumbar support system. This particular foam is made of majority of the layer is made of polyfoam, while the rest is composed of memory foam. It is strategically placed in the middle of the mattress. This allows the back to be more aligned without producing any form of discomfort. Saatva Tempurpedic

Layer 3 The Foam-encased Support Layer
The third layer of the Saatva mattress is a support layer as well as it is one of two coil systems that make up the mattress. This 4 inches-thick layer of foam-wrapped micro coils is flexible enough to adhere to various body shapes and ever-changing movements. It also facilitates breezy air circulation, keeping the sleeping person cool and preventing them from becoming too hot.
4. The Sturdy Foundation Core
The underlying structure of all three layers is the solid hourglass steel coils underneath them. Customers have the option of choosing between two heights: a 4-inch layer for mattresses that measure 11.5″ or 7-inch layers for 14.5″ mattresses. The core coils assist the foam-pocketed coils to produce an improved airflow system through the Saatva, plus the industry-grade components must be strong enough to support heavier individuals and objects.
