We now have Nectar, a proudly New York-raised mattress manufacturer. Nectar is a company that promises to deliver a range of mattresses directly to your home. It was once regarded as one of America’s fastest-growing ebusinesses.
Nectar has similar foam technology to Puffy, and offers a wider range of mattresses. This expanded catalog will be the difference between Nectar and Puffy.

Nectar offers 3 mattresses on its website. Each mattress can be purchased with different degrees of softness, plushness and material compositions. Already Nectar has Puffy beat with the number of choices, but it’s still to be determined if more choices equal a better mattress brand.
Nectar’s original 12-inch Nectar Memory Foam mattress was their first mattress. This mattress comes with five separate layers, again similar to how Puffy designed its foam mattresses. The first layer of their mattress is their Nectar Smart Layer, a gel memory foam that helps alleviate pressure with its high-density construction.
The Nectar Smart Layer is then supported by two more foams, the Nectar Dynamic Support Layer and their Stay-Stable Support Layer. These foams help stabilize your body as you sleep, minimize motion transfer, and keep the mattress on the base. This is all wrapped in Nectar’s quilted Cool Cover that regulates temperature and Nectar’s shift-resistant lower covering, which provides stability by securing the mattress to the bed frame. We had to include Casper. Not including Casper would be like not including Coca-cola or Pepsi when making a list comparing what the best soft drink would be. Despite Casper’s price point being a common comparison for newer brands, it remains one of the top choices for most shoppers when looking for a new mattress.

Types of Mattresses Available
Casper offers four options to choose from instead of Puffy’s limited selections. Three of the variants have two variations each. Casper offers seven different mattresses, with three of them having two variants each.
Casper’s first mattress, a traditional foam mattress, uses two layers of foam to construct its entire construction. This is Casper’s entry level mattress. It is known as the Element mattress. Casper uses their proprietary Airscape perforated foam as the top layer of their mattresses to better let heat escape while you sleep. Below this is their high-density foam base that prevents sagging and supports your whole body while you rest.
Next up on the Casper catalog is the Casper Original. Three layers of foam are used in the Casper Original. The first is the Airscape foam. This is followed by the Zoned Support Memory Foam. The Zoned Support foam is unique because it is essentially an area-specific memory foam, with some parts being firmer than others depending on which component needs more support (hence the term zoned).
What’s interesting is that you can get the Casper Original as a hybrid mattress. Hybrid mattresses are more popular these days as they combine the new memory foam technology with the consistently improved and reliable design of inner coils you may be used to in older mattresses.
