Emma is a common sight online these days, especially recently through their rigorous usage of online marketing. While Puffy is a proudly Canadian company, Emma’s source of their technologies comes from their German-born designs geared explicitly towards temperature control and spinal alignment.

Nectar’s first mattress is their original Nectar Memory Foam 12-inch mattress. The five layers of this mattress are similar to the Puffy foam mattresses. Their Nectar Smart Layer is the first layer. This gel memory foam helps relieve pressure due to its high density construction.
The Nectar Smart Layer is then supported by two more foams, the Nectar Dynamic Support Layer and their Stay-Stable Support Layer. Both assist in stabilizing your body while you sleep, minimizing any motion transfer, and keeping the mattress in place on the bed base. This is all wrapped in Nectar’s quilted Cool Cover that regulates temperature and Nectar’s shift-resistant lower covering, which provides stability by securing the mattress to the bed frame. We had to include Casper. Not including Casper would be like not including Coca-cola or Pepsi when making a list comparing what the best soft drink would be. Casper’s high price is a common comparison with newer brands but it remains a top choice for many shoppers looking for a mattress.
Puffy uses Casper’s higher price points as a clear point to try out the cheaper Puffy mattress. Can Casper be beaten by this Canadian brand?
Types of Mattresses Available
Unlike Puffy’s limited options, Casper impresses with four different mattresses to choose from, 3 of them having two variants each. Casper offers seven different mattresses, with three of them having two variants each.
Casper’s first mattress is a traditional foam mattress that uses two layers of foam for its total construction. This is Casper’s entry level mattress. It is known as the Element mattress. Casper uses their proprietary Airscape perforated foam as the top layer of their mattresses to better let heat escape while you sleep. Their high-density foam base is below this, which prevents sagging while you sleep and supports your entire body.
Next up on the Casper catalog is the Casper Original. The Casper original uses three different layers of foam now, the first being the classic Airscape foam, which is then supported by their Zoned Support Memory Foam and the standard base support foam. The Zoned Support foam is unique because it is essentially an area-specific memory foam, with some parts being firmer than others depending on which component needs more support (hence the term zoned).
What’s interesting is that you can get the Casper Original as a hybrid mattress. Hybrid mattresses are more popular these days as they combine the new memory foam technology with the consistently improved and reliable design of inner coils you may be used to in older mattresses.
